What You Need to Know About the Coronavirus and Its Impact On Our Industry

Here at Hello Promo, we want to stay proactive with industry news. We, like you, are monitoring the status of the Coronavirus and trying to assess its potential  impact on our industry and orders. Although we, just like everyone else, are still learning more about this virus and how it can be spread,  we will continue to do our best to answer questions and share information as it becomes available. Am I at risk for COVID-19 from a package or products shipping overseas?

The specific Coronavirus strain that has been spreading is known as COVID-19. According to the CDC, this virus spreads similarly to the common flu. In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely a very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently, there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods. How has the Coronavirus impacted overseas factories?

We have been working with our overseas supplier partners to keep up with their production status. We do know that factories in China are back in production and will continue to reopen production depending on how they are affected by the Coronavirus. Our supplier partners have been taking precautions as the uncertainty of COVID-19 has been growing. Please note that lead times and productions may be longer due to production delays related to the Coronavirus. We will do our best to communicate lead times and any production delays that may affect client products.

Here at Hello Promo, we will continue to do our best to stay on top of the effect of Coronavirus on our business and that of our valued clients. The Coronavirus is still very new, and we are learning more about this virus as we are provided information from the CDC, the news, and our overseas supplier partners. Domestic suppliers are extremely busy due to the delays  in production of overseas factories. We are working diligently to communicate potential manufacturing delays, both domestic and overseas, and  we will communicate this as we encounter these issues. We are here to help in any way we can and will continue to share information as it becomes available.
